What are “cookies”?

These files allow for recognition of the user’s device and proper display of the website tailored to his individual preferences, allow for display of the website in the user’s language “remembered” by these files, as well as use of other website settings selected by the user. Cookies usually contain the name of the website they come from, the time they are stored on the end device and a unique number.

What are cookies used for?
Cookies are used to adapt the content of websites to the user’s preferences and device and to optimise the use of websites. These files make it possible to save the user’s choices regarding language, browser, settings of selected website elements or resignation from profiled advertisements, as well as to save information about the user’s location.
Cookies are also used to facilitate logging into a user’s account, including through social media, and to enable you to move between subpages on websites without having to log back into each subpage.

At the same time, cookies are used to secure websites, e.g. to prevent access by unauthorised persons. They are also used to create anonymous, aggregated statistics which help to understand how the user uses websites, which allows to improve their structure and content, excluding personal identification of the user.
Cookies also help to ensure that websites are developed and operate smoothly, including testing the efficiency of websites. They are also used to identify which advertisements a user has viewed and to display advertisements that are most relevant to the user’s activity on the websites.

What cookies do we use?
Two types of cookies are used – “session” and “permanent”.

The first of them “session” are temporary files that remain on the user’s device until logging out of the website or switching off the software (web browser).
“Permanent” files remain on the user’s device for the time specified in the parameters of “cookies” or until they are manually deleted by the user.

Do cookies contain personal information?

Personal data collected using cookies may only be processed for the purpose of performing certain functions for you as described above. Such data is encrypted in such a way that it cannot be accessed by unauthorised persons.
